If you’ve received a notice that said “US District Court Approved Refund Notice” don’t throw it away! It’s a legitimate letter from the courts informing you that you’re entitled to getting a refund ($25) from Visa, MasterCard or Diners Club for fees charged when you made credit card purchases and ATM withdrawals while traveling or living abroad between Feb. 1, 1996 and Nov. 8, 2006.
Charlie checked it out and someone at his work has already gotten their refund check. Since they even offer an online submission option the whole process should only take seconds.
With the two of us, that’s $50 of “free” money! Enough to buy ourselves some wagyu beef at Mitsuwa this weekend (on sale for $39.99/lb). Yay!
